Garrett Martin is a writer, director and award-winning filmmaker. Martin has produced five feature documentaries along with multiple shorts. His films focus on telling intimate, character driven stories that explore the natural world.

One of his first features, UNBOUNDED, received multiple international awards and has been screened around the world. His last film, THE RIVER RUNS ON, premiered at the RiverRun International Film Festival and was distributed digitally. He currently has two new features, PARADISE and I SAW THE LIGHT, that are going through the festival circuit and will be released in late 2024.

He has also worked on dozens of commercials for non-profits and businesses such as The Nature Conservancy, World Wildlife Fund, Whitewater, National Parks Conservation Association and more.

Martin is in the process of transitioning to scripted work as he writes and directs his first scripted feature. He currently resides outside of Asheville, NC where he’s proud to call Appalachia his home.
